FADE IN:
INT. - A HALLWAY INSIDE CITY HALL - DAY
TIMMY mills about with a group of KIDS, all wearing CHOMPY THE
GOAT SHIRTS and HATS. Many of them are drinking SODAS. Everyone
is excited.

KIDS
Chompy! Chompy! Chompy!
ON TIMMY
COSMO and WANDA float near Timmy as BALLOONS.
2 TIMMY
Chompy! Chompy! Chompy!
3 WANDA
Hey Timmy?4 COSMO
What’s a Chompy? Does it hurt?
5 TIMMY
Chompy’s a goat! He’s Dimmsdale’s town
hero and mascot!
VICKY muscles her way through the crowd.
6 VICKY
Move it ya’ Creetons!
7 COSMO AND WANDA
Gasp!
8 VICKY
One side, Parasites!
9 VICKY
Ecch! I can’t believe your parents made me
take you on this stupid tour of City Hall.
Boooring!
10 TIMMY
Hey, they’re paying you, aren’t they? Besides,
it’s Chompy! I can’t learn enough about
Chompy!

Really? Well, here’s a physics lesson,
Poindexter.
Vicky gives him a wedgie.
12 TIMMY
EEP!
13 VICKY
“undies” plus “gravity” equals wedgie!
The MAYOR of Dimmsdale, wearing a SASH that reads “Mayor,” walks
up to the kids.
14 KIDS AND TIMMY
Chompy! Chompy! Chompy!
15 MAYOR
Heh heh! Oh, you kids and your goat. I’m the
Mayor! Doesn’t anyone want to hear about
myacco mp lis hm en ts ?
ON KIDS
Nothing. CRICKETS chirp. A TUMBLEWEED blows through.
16 MAYOR
I hate not being the goat.
(embittered beat)
Let’s continue the tour, with a walk through
the Hall of Goaty Greatness.
The group walks past a series of GIGANTIC, DRAMATIC PAINTINGS,
depicting CHOMPY, carrying out amazing feats of heroism. The first
painting: CHOMPY PULLING A COAL MINER’S CART, FULL OF
CHILDREN, OUT OF A COLLAPSING BUILDING.
17 MAYOR
It was Chompy who pulled a cart of children
from a collapsing day care center. And then
changed their diapers! And all without
opposable thumbs!
18 KIDS AND TIMMY
Yay, Chompy!
Next painting: CHOMPY sits in a LAB, wearing a LAB COAT and holding
TEST TUBES.
