Gillian Marks, former General Counsel DefenceMateriel Organisation (DMO) has had substantialexperience in implementing public sector reform inher career. When it came to DMO and defenceprocurement, she had raised the bar to implementDMO’s CEO, Dr Stephen Gumley’s reforms.
 
 
Gillian Marks worked in the DMO from November2004 to October 2008. During her tenure, shesought and obtained approval for a number oreforms primarily to improve DMO’s beleaguedprocurement and contract management “systems”.Reforms included a blueprint for providingprofessional and recognized training courses forprocurement and contract officers.
