Joint PNP and AFP clean-up operations are being conducted in majordisaster affected areas
 
BFP deployed more than 100 fire trucks to facilitate the flushing andclearing operations along Tumana River, in evacuation and healthcenters; streets and houses in the cities of San Juan, Malabon, Pasay,Taguig and Marikina.
 
Conducted water rationing in San Mateo, Rizal and at evacuation centersin Taguig City
 
 
The total cost of assistance provided by the Government and NGOs/Other GOs is 
PhP30,465,456.49
 (NDCC – PhP12,929,375.00;DSWD PhP7,608,932.44; DOH – PhP809,910.70; LGUs – PhP8,601,238.35;and NGOs/GOs – PhP516,000) – (Tab E)
 
14,650 sacks of rice
were distributed by the NDCC to Regions III, IV-A,X and NCR (Tab E)

II. SITUATION OVERVIEW:Result of RDANA conducted by NDCC- UN IASC CT on 28 & 29 Sept 2009:Marikina
Water has receded in most areas, public water service was restored withpotable water in several barangays
Evacuation center in Malanday are congested with 700 families staying inElementary School and Municipal Hall. Seven (7) died in this barangay
Damages to houses are extensive and the riverside roads are impassable dueto debris and rubble. Priority needs: clothing, mattresses, food and medicines
Evacuees from Brgy. Tumana are staying at the evacuation center inConcepcion. Electricity has not been restored yet
In Brgy. Tanong, 500 people are staying in evacuation centers water andelectricity have been restored
Amang Rodriquez Memorial Center priority needs are power restoration andbasic medical supplies, potable water and food for the patient
Quezon City
Families in Brgy. Silangan have not returned to their respective places as theirhouses have been totally damaged
Pasig City
Identified needs: potable water, food, NFIs (clothing, blanket, mats), mobilephone services
Muntinlupa
Barangays most affected are Tunasan, Poblacion and Putatan
Pateros
Priority requirements: food, logistics coordination, camp managementmechanisms and health education
Taguig City
Needs identified: logistics, health, NFIs, food, WASH, protection and educationin that order
Mandaluyong
Majority of families have returned home
