Cremated bone and residues from 19 contexts was subject to examination, together with residues from a further 18 contexts. The deposits appear to cover a wide temporal range from Mesolithic to Iron Age/Romano-British and a variety of deposit types including at least one Mid-Late Bronze Age unurned cremation burial.

The partial remains of a circular lead tank of late Roman date was found in the base of a late Roman waterhole at Perry Oaks. The tank had clearly been damaged or dismantled. Part of the sides and base had been detached and discarded elsewhere. The surviving side had been folded down onto the base.

The recording of the animal bones was completed to an assessment level, noting the number of each species present and the number attributed with fusion, tooth wear or metrical traits.

This report summarises the findings from the investigation of selected sections from the Bed B and Bed C areas of the WPR98 excavation taken during the fieldwork phase in 1999. The work undertaken by the author included field visits throughout the period of excavation from April to November 1999.

The author was asked to report on an assemblage of material recovered by Framework Archaeology from the excavation of the former Perry Oaks Sludge Works, Middlesex. The material in question had already been excavated and a subsequent assessment carried out by N Mitchell. This had included some sampling for species identification and some photography. A stone axe (135040), object No. 500) was found upright at the base of middle Bronze Age waterhole 135071 (SG 135067). The axe is complete and in good condition, with much of the original polished surface surviving.

This assessment is for the purpose of recommending which soil micromorphology samples taken from the main Perry Oaks (WPR98) and sites should see further processing and interpretation.
