It can quickly generatea complex report that wouldotherwise require a consid-erable amount of time tocreate by hand. People havemore time to focus on otherbusiness needs rather thancreate reports. In addition, this means that the endusers have quicker access totheir reports as well. Whentimely decisions have to bemade based on these reports, the time saved can beinvaluable. Lastly, this reduces the potential for humanerror when creating the reports while increasing thereport's acceptance among its users. As reports are generated, there is a need for them tobe organized and accessible to its users. A centralizeddocument repository makes it easier to keep track of different reports by minimizing the risk of inconsistentreports. In addition, it allowsan organization to bettermanage who has access towhich information.A reporting system withthese advantages can becreated combiningSharePoint's document man-agement features with a.NET application for generat-ing reports.
