Once upon a time, there was a little baby whowas laying in a crib. She weighed about two poundsand two ounces. She had black hair and brown eyesand had a small body. She lived there for threemonths. Then she went to a baby orphanage. Shelived there until she was three years old. Then shewent to a big kids orphanage.Every day she had a different teacher. She hadover ninety friends there. get up, make her bed, brush her teeth and hair, getdressed, eat a snack and the last thing she did was goto bed for the rest of the night.There was a mean nurse who would come andscare her and her classmates. When it wassummertime, for playing, she and her classmateswould go in the woods, cut down trees and makeforts to play in. Sometimes she and her friendswould go pick mushrooms to make for their soupafter their naps. (They weren’t the poisonous ones.)Page 3
 
When she and her classmates would get up fromtheir naps, instead of playing, they would go out andwork on the garden. Instead of working, though, shewould eat out of it and the teacher would yell at her.When she and her classmates were good, theygot ice cream, but that only happened once a week.Sometimes, if they were realy good they would get togo swimming. She stayed in the shallow water, because she did not know how to swim. When theygot back, they would go to bed.Page 5
