Entrepreneurs Society – Team Roles
Everyone in our society gets a formal position of responsibility, even if wehave 2000 members! So see below if anything interests you for next year...All positions last for the whole academic year and there may be some work todo over the summer. Full training will be given and there will be a full, brief welcome meeting after exams.Our organisational structure consists of a board of directors, core serviceheads and department team members. The board positions on offer include:Vice President and Marketing Director and these positions will be required toattend weekly board meetings. We wish to run a highly decentralisedstructure and all of the core service heads will be given full autonomy intohow they run their service including if they wish to recruit further teammembers. Vice President
The key responsibility of the Vice President will be to hold regular (roughly bi-weekly) meetings with each of our core service heads to discussprogress/problems/resources for their activities. You will be the first point of callif any major problems occur and will have to use your initiative to quickly comeup with solutions. You will have to condense this feedback into a report for the weekly boardmeeting to keep the rest of the board up to date with the progress of our coreservices.
Biz Launch Head
Biz Launch will be our flagship service next year, which will take studentsthrough all the stages of setting up a business: inspiration, ideas generation,formulating a business plan and sourcing funding. We plan to build acommunity of potential entrepreneurs who help each other develop their ownskill base and to get businesses set up, which we plan to achieve by runningnumerous interactive workshops/follow up meetings per week. Your role will be to ensure resources are available for this service, i.e. rooms,workshop trainers, and sales opportunities (we are thinking of doing astudent market for instance). You must also w
ork with marketing to promotethis service and arrange for additional funding from working with externalrelations.
