Considerations

The number of ABOA officials who have demonstrated proficiencyand success at National Championships at all levels is substantialand as such there are
many worthy candidates
every season.One of the
purposes
of this application process is for every officialto carefully and
objectively
consider what is required of themselves to improve and further their development. Officials atthis level referee for the right reasons with an open and honestperspective. They recognize that officiating is not an individualeffort; rather they accept that professionalism and respect for thegame, good partnering skills, teamwork and leadership are requiredto complement a competitive spirit.
Categories

The National tournaments are
categorized
according to the abilityand experience required to officiate at a
high level

U15and U17 are dependent upon the host location and there is noguarantee we will receive an appointment in each category. Therefore, if you apply for a U15 or U17 and ABOA does not receivean appointment, your application can be 'banked' to the followingseason without further payment of the evaluation fee.
