Twice nominated as one of the Outstanding Young Men of America, Kevin Keogh holds membership in the MENSA International High IQ Society and is an honoree of Project Children International.
Kevin Keogh obtained his undergraduate education at Montclair State University, receiving his B.A. in Political Science; he also founded a Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity at the school. He earned his J.D. from the Seton Hall University School of Law and represented the University as the Moot Court Champion at the national competition in Ohio. Later, he continued his studies, becoming a Certified Public Manager through the State of New Jersey; completing a management seminar in Environmental Health and Safety at the Harvard University School of Public Health; and gaining a Master of Administrative Science and a Professional Certificate in Human Resources Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
After earning his J.D., Kevin Keogh accepted a position as a Law Clerk, managing legal work for a judge in the Superior Court of New Jersey. In 1996, he began two years as a Constituent Affairs Officer for the 8th Congressional District of the U.S. House of Representatives. Subsequently, he served for nearly seven years with the municipal government for the city of West Orange, New Jersey, including a term as Council President. During this time, he also became the Vice Chairperson and Treasurer of the Board for the Joint Sewer Meeting of Essex and Union Counties. Most recently, Kevin Keogh acted as plant superintendent for a large regional wastewater treatment facility.
In his private life, Kevin Keogh shows equal dedication to the community through his support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. As the father of two children with type one diabetes, he has strongly advocated for donations to the cause of finding a cure, including training to run the New York City Marathon in order to raise funds, reaching a total of $26,875.view less
