century has been the age of mankind’sincreasing greed and lust for materialadvancement in science and technology.Unfortunately with this comes an irreversibleincreased demand and use of the planet’s verylimited fuel resources at an uncontrollable rate.For decades environmentalists have raisedthese concerns to little success. The leaders of the world have not taken this issue seriously.But finally, through the continuous efforts of aminority, the major leaders of the world haveexpressed their concerns and provided severalmethods to combat global warming byreducing their carbon footprint.But recently I have crossed paths and delveddeep into another footprint, the imprint left bya rare jewel, which will help our planet’sresidents in a much deeper and long-lastingmanner. This is the Kadamba footprint, no notby the Kadamba tree, but the servant of Hewho resides beneath the Kadamba tree. Yes,the travelling preacher who leaves such anover-whelming positive effect on conditionedsouls, by burning their ignorance with histranscendental torch of knowledge.We know him as His Holiness Srila KadambaKanana Swami, but Lord Sri Krishna knowshim as His very dear friend, who He kindlyempowers and has given to us for ourdeliverance.Over the month of June, 2008, he travelledacross European cities to enlighten and enrichthe lives of so many souls. It started with adeep and refreshing sadhana retreat in theforests of Leipzig, Germany, and within daysoff to a Harinam in Prague, where his gloriousdancing, compassionate nature, and melodioussounds of the Holy name were evident. Theseare all but a few experiences one can encounterwhen in the association of an empoweredservant of Sri Krsna, the Supreme Personalityof Godhead.Then he travelled to Germany again on anauspicious day, Bhima Ekadashi, to give hismercy to thousands, and he gave it all - 108%.First was a Harinam in Dresden’s punk festivalwhere thousands gathered to smoke and drink.Many joined in with the Harinam, somesincerely whilst most came to mock the“Haris”, but Maharaj was not disturbed, no notan advanced devotee. He is able to see theSupersoul in everyone and as he relished theirefforts to join in the sankirtan, he sang anddanced with even more vigour.
