But majority of religious scholars agrees that it is recommended to observe the sequence since Prophet (SAW) began acts of taharah (purifying body) from the right side. Regarding your question why in this particular sequence then answer is that Prophet (SAW) use to start from the right and index fingre in islam is of special significance. Muslims are advised to follow the way of Prophet (SAW). So if this Saying of the prophet (SAW) is concidered authentic then only logic is that it is action of Prophet and muslims should follow Prophet (SAW). However to majority of scholars no as such sequence of clipping the nails is mentioned. So conclusion is taht love of Prophet (SAW) binds every muslim to follow the actions and sayings of Prophet (SAW) even if limitedness of our minds fails to produce logic. Further clarification can be provided if asked.
