e look orward to welcoming youto NSA Sheep 2010, the specialistone-day event with every possibleopportunity to hand, on one site, and onone day to help you develop and growyour sheep arming enterprise and to dobusiness.We are currently enjoying a stronger position, ater two years o operating ina relatively buoyant marketplace. It’s oneto build on or the uture and NSA Sheep2010 is the vehicle that will help you toprogress, whether you are a sheep armer, apartner, shepherd, manager, consultant or have other interests in sheep arming.More than 250 exhibitors will beoering a huge range o advice – technical,business and fnance – and there will beopportunities to fnd out what’s new innutrition and management along withenvironmental issues and the latest inmachinery and equipment.The event has also attracted associationsand societies representing more than40 dierent sheep breeds enabling youto catch up on cutting-edge geneticdevelopments.Away rom the exhibitors’ stands, therewill be plenty or involvement throughoutthe day, rom testing your own lamb andcarcass selection skills, to learning newshearing techniques rom the competitiveshearing classes.Succession is absolutely vital within our industry and involving the next generationin the event has been paramount. For example, we will be staging the NSAYoung Shepherd o the Year, and most o our seminars and panels eaturing issuesrom health and welare to marketing andEID, will be chaired by the industry’syoungsters.Finally, this event has been organisedby NSA and I would like to express mypersonal thanks to Helen Davies andher team o organisers.
