To enter more competitions?If you’ve been slow to get into the swing of 2009, we’ve got good news for you.Birmingham Writers’ Group has extended the deadline on its open competition to 1February, giving you three extra weeks to make your story sparkle. To celebrate the National Year of Reading and to tie in with Birmingham LibraryService’s ‘Write the Future’ events, the theme of the Birmingham Writers’ Groupcompetition is ‘Birmingham through Time’. If you can submit a well-written, originalstory of no more than 2,500 words set in Birmingham’s past, present or future, you’rein with a chance of winning a £50 cash prize and earning publication in theforthcoming
