Objectives:
1 Students will be introduced to various dribbling and ball handlingtechniques and will be able to correctly apply them in game situations.23Pre Requisite Learning:Students will be familiar with the game of basketball and the basic rules.
Presentation:
Set:(5 min) Begin with a warm-up.-Active Warm-up-get class to line up on the baseline and then begin following the teachersinstructions.Development:(5-10 min)After active warm-up have each student get a basketball. Get studentsto form a circle around center court. Teachers will demonstrate different ballhandling drills and exercises. (See teacher notes)(10 min)Split students up into 5 groups and have them line up single file on thebaseline. Then take students through the different dribbling techniques (ex.Dribbling with right and left hand, crossover dribble etc.)(See teacher notes)
