Public Safety Update / Officers William Ollenbrook & Mark Snyder:
  No Crime Statistics Map this month. Residential burglaries in North Portland are up. Anumber of juveniles are kicking in windows & doors to take laptops & jewelry. Five kidsunder 18 along with one adult selling stolen items on Craigslist. Twenty incidents at lastcount.Marina Wynton: Have you heard anything more about the suspicious people/attemptedchild abduction in Kenton Park? No information on incident heard by them. Currently not looking for any suspects.Recommended that 911 be called at that moment.Willa Watkins: Is it possible to have more stop signs added to N. Houghton St. or N.Bayard Ave.? Motorists speed through the two-block stretches.Any recommendations for traffic & livability issues should be called into 503-823-7233(SAFE)
Secretary’s Report / Kimberly Smith:
 February 2010 General Meeting minutes are not ready for Board Review yet. Will sendthem out soon & seek approval of them at the April KNA Board Meeting.
 Treasurer’s Report / Angela Moos:
 Ian will not be able to continue with the treasurer duties. Interim Treasurer needed but hewill continue to work with Angela Moos to balance books until someone else takes over.Interested parties should contact Angela for further details.Current Wells Fargo account balance is $7,316.90. $360 deposited from the MasonicLodge Dinner donations. A balance sheet is available to anyone who is interested infurther details.Request for motion via earlier Straw Poll to approve expense of $61 for the noise permitfor the Kenton Street Fair May 22

, 6-7:30pm as required by the City of Portland. They’ll be working on graffiti & trash pick up from Lombard to Paul Bunyan.Will check with Mark Wells regarding getting volunteers official looking t-shirts.Will make a formal request to Mark Wells that he comes before every KNA meeting tokeep the KNA abreast of community activity.Angela Moos: Included in the Open House at the June General Meeting will be a table for child safety/afterschool activities.Webly Bowles: Add basic first aid to the table?Rich Watson: The lodge will provide the Child ID program at the table too.

Denver Ave. Willapproach the new Wells Fargo Manager in the near future for the one can near PaulBunyan. Noise Review Board update: Ryan Pittel Chair: Angela Moos: Letter from the Friends of PIR at the February General Meeting needs to be addressed by the KNA Board. She willsend it out electronically. In order to better address the Friends of PIR contact with theKNA, an initial PIR Workshop group will meet on March 16

from 5:30-6pm at theKenton Firehouse. Sign-up sheet circulated for interested individuals. A second meetingfor the PIR Workshop is scheduled for March 23

This year there aren’t anyMetro vouchers for yard debris bins so should we ask for higher donations for yard debrisreceived? Last year we profited $600 after everything was said & done. Consensusamongst KNA Board Members is we should charge more for yard debris this year.Seeking approval for cost of 2 yard debris dumpsters. Motion to included yard debrisdumpster in clean-up.

Argyle St.Sue Glenn (North/Northeast Zone Services Manager, Portland Parks & Recreation):Entire 3-ring binder that she’s been keeping on the Skatespot process which started with a2004 Levy & citizen appointed committee. Resulting in Ordinance No. 179462. Nofunding as of yet, but when funding received spot will be 6k-8k square feet with stairs &rails (no bowls). A new proposed bond is for the Community Gardens not the Skatespot.Can Trenton Park be utilized for a Community Garden since there is already so muchactivity in Kenton Park?Marina Wynton: Survey of neighborhood will be done including public involvementmeetings. Kenton Park was suggested because of the water & meter left behind from ahouse that was torn down
