I just read "A Freewheelin' Time" by Suze Rotolo. Really interesting and down to earth about the real sixties, and threadin' it thru to Now!

I think the point of Scribd is precisely that you don't ever need to write this kind of letter again. Someone once said, and they were right, that 'messages' has a hernia like sound to it. The penny in Lake Erie is a great start to a story, take it from there---

Reading in "Autobiography of a Yogi", I see that, in Hindu scriptures, one "Day of Creation" is actually "4,300,560,000 years in extent..." (not 24 hours) It seems to me, then, that six of these days would be ample time to consider every theory from 'Creationism' to 'Darwinism' and everything in between. And then you get a deserved rest of 4,300,560,000 years... figures from p167 hardback edition.

I guess that would be enough time. 24 Billion years. Maybe.

I have only read some of this book, but I like this book, so far, because it asks very good questions about life. I have read elsewhere that our teeth, and our intestines are designed to eat and digest fruit and vegetables, and not meat. An orchard looks good to us, but an abattoir repulses our senses. And yet, and...yet...a medium done steak can, for me, be a beautiful meal! Nevertheless, I like the spirit in which this book seems to be written....and I love raw vegetables and fruit. I recommend them, even if you like to eat some meat. If I had a cook who would only cook me delicious (it would have to be delicious!) vegetarian food, I would probably not mind. On the other hand, someone once said it is not what you put into your mouth that really counts, but what comes out of it. Shanti-

Well done, I enjoyed this. Your book raises some interesting questions for discussion. For example: I rarely wait for others before I start, and I don't want them to wait for me. I really don't like food that's gone cold. I think hot food is meant to be good and hot. So what do you do if you are with people who don't have the ability to make you feel comfortable about starting to eat, if you get your food before they do? Believe me, some people who think they are the 'cat's whiskers' in manners, insist that everyone waits until the lucky last one, with the hot food is served.

Just finished reading "Who Are You: The Life of Pete Townshend" by Mark Wilkerson. Fan-Tastically interesting, and, again, rings very true. The journey of this book to publication is also pretty interesting.
