Mr.Shanley- welcomes Dr. Katie Wilson, Senior Director of Student Engagement, take precautions to avoid swine flu, emotional bank accountm.BOT Student Members-Mr.Ingram- two main issues: reorganization of regional campuses and tuition increase(3.5% summer term 1) Miami chose not to increase tuition for the next two terms to let parents prepare themselvesMs.Bullinger- we are not the only institution with a tuition increase and Miami has heldoff on it for a while.-Being on the board for several months has been a great learning experience, I encourage all of you to apply for this position

Mr.Herbst- we don’t allow student orgs to buy t-shirts why do we allowRHA to?Mr.Zwayer- it is a way to recognize who they are, they have a separatebudget so they may appropriate their funds as necessaryBudget approved by unanimous consent.b.SR010904: CAC Budget 2009-2010Mr.Zwayer: the numbers under the directors- salary or budget?Ms.Pazyniak: budget, no one is paidBudget approved by unanimous consent.c.SR010905: The Student Financial Analysis Act of 2009Chair steps down and pro temp assumes positionDebateMs.Bahir- if this doesn’t pass will there be an increase in student feesregardless?Mr.Clampitt-Dietrich- this is the students clear cut way of stating howthey’d like to pay for it, and how they feel about it, if it does not passthere are several other routes, but the B.O.T would probably see it as alack of student supportMr.McNabb- if students should help pay for this, how much should theypay and when. This is the students way of advocating how much wepay rather than being told how much to pay.Ms.Riddle- has there been any surveys for the Shriver Center or otherfacilities on the campus?Mr.Clampitt-Dietrich- There have been several ground swell projectsstarted by student initiatives. As far as Shriver, I don’t know, but todayit is a self funding building. When the rec. center was built there was asurvey as wellMr.McNabb- there has never been student fee allocations that havecome before senate; it should be our goal to be trusted with theseimportant decisionsMr.Horvath- in regards to the recent articles in the student, does thischange the way we are standing on the timing and building?
