what moron wrote these? I get the notion he watches too many HongKong KungFu movies... for example, "(11) Abdomen.... The rib cage protects the heart and the breastbone is stablized by the VERY strong Pectoralis muscles (pecs), thus the force of an impact will be distributed across the breastbone and into the large surrounding muscles. making a shock to the heart VERY unlikely Even if the attacker was strong enough to deliver a blow powerful enough (presuming no weapon was used), it overlooks that it's INSTINCT for the body to protect itself by contracting the abdominals, thus protecting the underlying tissue that is presumably so vulnerable to attack. I don't dispute that most of the sites he lists are vulnerable, but to the average person (ie, someone who doesn't spend much of his waking life training the strength, speed and accuracy required to deliver an accurate and powerful blow) is totally incapable of doing the damage indicated here. In this vein, don't worry about stupid teenagers or punks misusing this info.... HOWEVER, if you're serious about self-defense, I suggest learning locks and throws as most REAL fights start with shoving and grabbing b/c they're motivated by ego: anger and frustration...thus such a person is an easy target for grabs, locks and throws. Not a plug for Aikido, Judo, or other such forms...because i'm sure most young-bucks won't be satisifed with their abstract 'non-combat' oriented philosphy, but I CAN tell you that the techniques do lay a foundation for a person interested in applying them to more practical siutations....but it's up to you to transition the training from mat (training situations) to 'combat' situations. good luck, Mike
