mookstar scribbled: Hi. The publisher sent me a comment saying The Family International isn't a cult and it's just an urban myth. (I don't see the message on this page, but the scribd interface can be hard to navigate.) I'm basing my statement on a book I read called "Not Without My Sister", which hasn't made it to Scribd, but you can google it. Wikipedia also backs up this view: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fami... Of course, all cults vehemently deny that they are cults.

mookstar: Hello AO. Although I'm basing my views on a book, I'd have to say that it was a pretty compelling and convincing book. Following the book, I did some research online, not only wikipedia, and what I saw backed up what I read. I forgot about it until I read your magazine and then it reminded me. Thanks for the link. I'll have a read and maybe I'll comment later. 09/09/2009

mookstar scribbled: This is worse than just fundamentalist propaganda. The first article (page 3) was written by a member of a cult!! See for yourself, Google 'The Family International', formerly known as the Children of God. They changed their name because their members became notorious for sex crimes!!
