I was THRILLED to hear Mike Steele was now in charge! How great is that?! Then I read Dave Cavena's article on "Why the GOP Must Reconsider Abortion". I couldn't believe it. Then he must agree with Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger when she wrote in her book, "Women and the New Race" - "The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it." Or maybe he agrees with Sanger (a proponent of the KuKluxKlan) when she wrote in Pivot of Civilization on blacks, immigrants and indigents, "..human weeds", "reckless breeders", "spawning...human beings who never should have been born." How Obama can support a disgusting, evil organization like this is mystifying. The Republican Party needs to get back to their foundational roots and refuse the KoolAid. Dr. King understood as he said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetuate it." Any lawmaker who determines to vote for abortion in any form should have the courage and integrity of their own convictions to educate themselves and attend a live abortion to see what it is they are really voting for. I have high hopes that Mike Steele will put courage and conviction of what is truly right back in the Republican Party. I will follow Dwight Eisenhower's direction when he said, "Let's commit ourselves to pray for those in authority on the local, state and national levels. Let's put ourselves on God's side. Lincoln was right when he said: "My concern is not whether God is on our side. My great concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right."
