I have often said if I had to pottytrain my own children again, I wouldwait until they were at least 3 yearsold! We started way too early. I wishI had this article from
Better Homes & Gardens
, July, 2003, as a guideline:

Too soon to toilet train? - Healthyfamily: news everyone needs to staywell - children over 27 months easier totrain
Doctors at The Children's Hospital inPhiladelphia found that parents whotried to potty-train toddlers before27 months of age ended up spending alot more time at it than those whowaited. It took 10 to 14.5 months tofully toilet train children younger than27 months, the researchersdiscovered. Toddlers over 27 monthsmastered the bathroom in an averageof 5 to 9.5 months, suggesting there'slittle to gain in tackling toilet trainingtoo early.

So if you’re sure your toddler is oldenough, shows signs of being readyfor potty learning, and you’re up for aserious try, I will be more than happyto assist you with your toddlerlearning to use the potty.
