You are right in that depression can be cause by chemical imbalance but it is actually medically rare. I did not realise that by raising the point I have, that there would be a response. I have appreciated reading your opinions and I found them helpful although I don't see it in the same way you both do. The only other thing I would say regarding the women of faith movement and any other event where attendees pay to go and hear these women (or men ) who are highly paid to talk about God, is that I don't get it. The God of the bible provides everything for free...merchandising your experience doesn't seem right to me ..but may be I am wrong. I have nothing against a person who needs anti depressants, I am just not sure they should be selling their story as 'Let go and Live free' because in reality they are not. Now for anyone who has suffered extreme trauma, which I have as well, I am not criticising you - I just do not see these women as the fine upstanding citizens you have implied they are. Do you know for instance how much they do get paid? I know that Steve Arterburn who owned them, sold the company to Nelson and it was NOT at a loss. I am not involved in Christian fundamentalist acitivities but if a persons hope is not in Jesus Christ then no amount of Women in Faith conferences can help you whoever you are and whether you are famous or not .
