Letter to George,the Night Before

Note: I grew up in the house that George Putnam and Amelia Earhart lived in (Rye,NY), rst in a “menage a trois” when he was married and she single, and later whenhe divorced his wie to marry her. So I have always been ascinated by the story o her lie.She was a true ‘ree spirit’ and wrote a letter toGeorge the night beore her marriage setting out some conditions, and letting him know he could still opt out. I imagined this letter in a poetic orm.
