Comment on The Dark Knight Review
Posted on July 31, 2008

A fantastic review! Although there was quite a bit of music in the Dark Knight, I do agree with your review. I wouldn't be too surprised to see Dark Knight up for Best Picture this year, and I can almost guarantee Ledger's Oscar nomination as well. What I liked about the film is the amount of depth to it. The entire film was drenched with metaphors and talking points. It'd be interesting to write an essay on the film as a whole. If anything, my big gripe with the film itself was how dark it was. I liked how there were still the comical moments, but the entire movie was a bit depressing. Overall though, I concur with your review. A near perfect film, indeed.

No, actually. I was trying to think of something "Out of the box", so to speak. And I had just read the Peanuts comic with "5".
