Motovilo, I ran across this utube clip and thought of you. Many people in your camp come to Bentley's defense with "He can perform "signs, wonders,& resurrections" all in the name of Jesus which is proof that his "anointing" power must be from God. So far my replies have been Biblical-that indeed evil spirits can also perform miracles in the name of Jesus. So when I ran across this Christians woman's testimony of how she was the actual assistant of a woman who performed "miraculous" operations in the name of Jesus-I thought it may provide some insight into what can be done in His name and not come from a Godly source. It says the Kingdom of God is "near" when you see these things. It does not say we arrive "closer & closer" to it with apolostic gifts until the Kingdom reaches it's earthy destination. It means the time is short with proof in the verse that follows: "This Generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place." And what Generation is this? It's the generation which witnesses Israel coming back to their land. Ezekiel 37:1-14, & 38:8&9, Amos 9:13-15, Deut28:37 For 1800 years the once fertile land the Jews occupied had a severe drought. It was for the most part uninhabitable. The Turks tried to move in and take it @ one point but gigantic locust swarms ate up the crops and earthquakes toppled structures. They either died or left. When the Jews came back to their land it "just so happened" to start raining again. It's the "Even though" in your statement that's going to get you in trouble. We should not accept a mixture. A little leaven, leavens the whole lump. The house is supposed to be swept completely clean. Being a Hebrew scholar you surely understand this concept. "Even though there are some things Todd does and says that I don't agree with, I claim he is a servant of God and that people need to test all things and hold fast to what is good." 1 Cor 1:27-29 For God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring nothing to the things which are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. ANDREW STROM: DId you see that last sentence? -Even though some leaders have been privately expressing their concerns, they actually refused an opportunity to speak out in public! So where does this leave the poor sheep? Are these men so concerned with their "reputation" that they are afraid to speak out at such a pivotal moment? How will history judge such a thing? Isn't it simply the"fear of man"? And Isn't this the exact reason why the Charismatic movement is in such a mess in the first place? Have we completely forgotten the old saying- "Evil prospers when good men do nothing"? Who is going to stand up and declare the TRUTH in this situation?To me, this revival has all the hallmarks of the most blatant of Last Days deceptions spoken of in Scripture. Just make sure if you watch it to plead the Blood of Jesus because that so called "annointing" can come right through your computer screen. The Holy Spirit has warned me and several other of my Christian friends when we have attempted to watch some of his Revivals. I've literally had to click it off within 3 seconds. Some of the other short clips I've watched OK w/no feelings of warning. There is power there no doubt but it comes from an evil source. Your literally watching people become influenced & possessed by demons in the name of Jesus. And this quote: "Father forgive these gossips and slanderers for they know not what they do." Next thing we know Motovilo will claim he's been walking with Jesus in the 3rd Heaven. Hebrew 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday,today,and forever. ...problem is that he is deceiving you into "experiences" & "higher levels" of knowledge. It's not that it doesn't exist but that we are commanded to keep with the Word of God and not venter out into the unknown. We are in the End Times and we're particularly warned about falling away and the great apostasy. |

Also hot off the press is a great little book called "True & False Revival An Insiders Warning", by Andrew Strom. "He was involved 11 years in the same Prophetic movement as Todd Bentley-until he quit in anguish over the unbiblical & bizzare things going on in that movement..." Of course it then goes on to explain the history of the movement and how it became corrupt. There was a time however when true revivals florished. It also lists some experiences from people "saved" from the Florida Healing movement & the supernatural manifestations they experienced after the "annointing." (You can get it from Amazon.) |

Motovilo, "if you had read the other posts in this thread you would have known that" I was not the one to mention troglodytes. The frequency mentioned of angelic visitation in the Bible over 1000's of years pales in comparison to the "angelic" visitation of Bentley. They would come to bring a specific message not "hang out" visibly with the apostles. Your quotes: "they're jealous and proud and don't want someone doing stuff and experiencing things they have no understanding of and no control over" "they hate it when others have greater experiences than themselves because acknowledging those experiences would highlight a "lack" or an unknown and uncontrolable factor..." Is that what Todd told you or did you come up with that one yourself? Sounds like a response Satan made to Eve in the garden of Eden. Reading your Bible? This was one of 8 visions & the "women" are representative.These stork women were not literal angels visiting prophets.
