tashi.bohd, now your talking! Accidents at home happen because some parents underestimate how smart their children are and they don't teach them what a gun is meant for. There are so many laws in place as it is, and we all know they have had little or no effect. And yes we are all tied together, well put.

Every year there is another horrendous incident where a troubled individual or individuals walk into a place of business or school with the intent to take as many lives as they can before they meet their fate. I want to ask all of you, would it make a difference to all the families of the victims if each and every responsible trained person carried and were able to assess the situation before eliminating the threat with their own weapon? Yes, not only in these horrible instances but putting the fear into the cowards of the future who would take something so precious. These are scared men and boys who commit these acts, they don't want to get shot at, they dont expect to get shot at by the general public, and it is because the general public does not shoot back! Please shoot back, I will when you are in trouble and would hope that all of you would do the same for me and my family. Now I expect that someone may read this and come up with some reasons why this won't work. I won't argue that there will still be accidents, the hero doesn't always win but it is better than a room full of people dying helplessly.

I think that everyone that has posted comments wants the same thing, our families to be safe. If anyone anywhere in this world was considering robbing your house or raping your wife or daughters but knew there was a shotgun with their name on it, do you think they would still try it? But this only works if everyone has one and will use it without hesitation, so yes, there will be tragic accidents involving kids because the parents didn't lock them up or did but the kids got the key, and yes, there will even be people who are murdered with their own weapon because they hesitated. Many of the people think that putting another ban on assult rifles or the amount that the clips can hold will change something but it won't because if a person wants to kill someone then they will.

Phillipi looks like a person who always got his ass kicked in school and now that he got his engineering degree from one of the many calling centers that they have over there, he wishes to show those bullies a thing or two with his shiny new accent free intelligence. Well "John Smith" please transfer me back to the USA so I can conduct buisness with someone who speaks the my language.
