While the effects of CO2 may be a *tad* bit overstated as an adverse affect on the climate (which is naturally warming, and has been since the pre-Industrial Revolution era) there is no question that hybrids will help solve our pollution problem, and are an EAGERLY awaited advance. Consumers must demand them from auto companies NOW, so that we don't get them in 2020 or 2030.

The idea that ancient man, perhaps as few as 100,000 in number, had ANY significant and lasting affect on our environment is ludicrous in the extreme, and is scientifically unsound. It's outrageous the lengths some advocates of 100% Man Made Global Warming will go to push their anti-Human agenda. All of us need to use less pollutants. It's obvious that we can, and have, polluted our earth. But to resort to scare tactics, be it this paper or the myth that the ice caps melting will cause 40 foot rises in the oceans, are laughable -- especially when one considers that far from melting, like the Arctic is doing, the ANTARCTIC hasn't seen THICKER ice sheets in thousands of years. Get the facts, people. End the scare tactics.
