About me: I'm a middle-aged frustrated author who earns his bread and butter as a civilian comm tech on Merchant Marine ships under the aegis of the US Navy.I was born and raised in Wisconsin, lived in Colorado for 15 years, served a hitch in the US Air Force (where I learned the skills required for my present job) and now make my home with my wife Pamela Matlack Klein (who is also a writer) on a 22+ acre farm outside Appomattox, Virginia, where we raise Arabian horses.

At the end of each chapter of my infamous (well, it would be if anybody had ever heard of it) first novel, Minnesconsin, I include a brief "Citizen Profile" featuring characters not generally featured in the narrative. I got the idea from a narrative history of the US (post-WWI) that I read. Can't remember the title or the author, but thanks for the idea.
