How would you tell the story of The First Christmas? Here's a version you might try.

At the end of each chapter of my infamous (well, it would be if anybody had ever heard of it) first novel, Minnesconsin, I include a brief "Citizen Profile" featuring characters not generally featured in the narrative. I got the idea from a narrative history of the US (post-WWI) that I read. Can't remember the title or the author, but thanks for the idea.

Minnesconsin is a truly awful novel. I know they say the writer is his own worst critic, but after perusing a chapter or two, you will believe my assessment to be kind.
