There is very little to disagree with here, its funny how all the rational things I read are usually written by atheists. But my question is about this whole moral meaningful life deal. An atheist clearly believes that everything in the universe is made of atoms and follows the laws of science and physics. The atheist also believes the human beings brain is made of atoms and follows the laws of physics. So the atheist must understand that every moral, every emotion, every thought, every single crazy thing that goes on within the head of a human is not based upon any kind of universal truth, it is simply based upon how someones genetics told the brain to interpret sensory information. So do atheists understand that everything in life is completely pointless, and the only real thing they can get out of it is to creation reactions in the brain that give a "good" feeling, whether that be through sex, feeling accepted by a group, feeling powerful, being rich, finding the best discovery, or whatever. Because essentially deep down the atheist knows that life is incredibly simple (excluding the complexity of physics) and pointless. I hope someone will fill me in please, cause ...
