Dr Amit Rangnekar is a PhD (Management) from NMIMS, Mumbai, where he is also a visiting faculty in Marketing & Business Strategy. Equipped with an MBA (Marketing) from Mumbai University and 18 years of progressively responsible pharmaceutical industry experience (Centaur Pharmaceuticals), his research interests revolve around the dynamics affecting pharmaceutical strategy and performance. Dr Rangnekar was selected by the Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS) for an international research scholarship to Europe in 2006, to complete his doctoral research. Besides international research publications, he has presented on his doctoral research, on pharmaceutical strategy, and on various marketing case studies from an Indian perspective, as well as on the Dabbawallas of Mumbai, at various universities, B-schools and corporates across India and Europe. Dr Rangnekar's PhD thesis was titled "Strategic responsiveness of the survivors of big pharma, under conditions of consolidation in the global pharmaceutical market, in 1995 and 2004".
