The anti-christ is the REAL issue, and the bible warns about him. Satan is the (father of lies). If he distorted the truth with Eve, then what's not to keep him from distorting the truth now. For generations, satan has always presented the same lies to people, but the reason that most people never perceived them is because he always presented them (in new, different, and more appealing wrappers). Of course most of us will never pick up on the lies because he knows HOW to present them. In His word, the bible, Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." This is a truth that Satan wants people to deny. As for Satan's lies, they come in all different shapes, forms, etc., and they are usually cultivated in the mind in the form of bad memories of hurtful situations such as verbal and sexual abuse. Most people don't believe they're worth anything after undergoing a certain ordeal or experience that may have shamed them. Self-condemnation is one of many lies that satan uses to discourage folks from accepting God's love, grace, and forgiveness. Self-condemnation keeps us from coming to God and basking in His l...

I'm saying all of this because these have been among the top reasons that people have stated about their decision to not have anything to do with the church or with God. But as I've stated earlier, God does not think and behave like hypocritical or fickle people.

"If God is so All-Loving, then why does He allow so much grief and suffering. You say He's all powerful, but yet we still have evil running rampant in the world today. And how would you explain the Crusades? How could an all-loving God allow so much killing in His name? And what's worse, we have to worry about a hell. Why would a God of kindness, love, mercy, and forgiveness throw His creation into a burning, flaming pit?" ...and why would His creation reject His kindness, love, mercy, and forgiveness??? While we can't deny the fact that evil exists and that human grief and suffering still occur, we also cannot deny the fact that we are free to think, say, and do what we want. More specifically, God has given us the gift of free will. This gift is just one of many other examples of His love for us. God never told people to hate or kill in His name, neither did He tell folks to go around twisting His word. He did tell us to love, but He never said unless they're a different race or culture--to go a little deeper, some folks have actually taken out of context Jesus' words "be not unequally yoked" and "what communion has light with darkness (2 Corinthians ...

As far as hell is concerned, God has established "a way of escape." This way is through His Son Jesus Christ. So when all is said and done, we have no excuse. I used to be silent and timid about sharing my Christian faith, and I still struggle sometimes with being more bold in that area. But when I think about it, I'm surrounded by different folks who aren't afraid to offend others by stating (their) atheistic beliefs on the web, in the schools, in the media, etc. Also, if Christianity is so false, then why does even the mention of it, or anything related to it, bother and offend so many people. It steems that Christianity is under more attack than any other religion I know! This is how I KNOW Christianity has to be really powerful, to the point that people would make such a huge effort to demean it as frequently as possible. This is one among many other reasons that I believe Christ is real and powerful.

God never told people to hate or kill in His name, neither did He tell folks to go around twisting His word. Many people are deceived into believing that God thinks and behaves exactly the same as hypocritical people. I think the biggest turnoff to nonChristians are poor representives of Christ who take God's word and use it to their advantage and to justify their deeds or "biased" view points. I've spoken to folks who don't understand the divide among America's churches as well as the separate denominations. I, myself, have never understood this until I'd finally realized one day that these were systems that "we" have designed, not God. In His word, the bible, God only calls for (one church)--and the keyword is one. One, in this sense, denotes something that is (inclusive). God never called for two churches, nor did He call for division. I'm saying all this because this has been one of the reasons people have stated for not wanting to have anything to do with a church.

fundamentalist = intolerant Christian-hater Hm...watch where those other three fingers are pointing. Those who point at and find fault in those who they believe are (judgmental)hypocrites are (no different) since the very act of (supposedly) disgracing and shaming Christianity is (exactly the same) as someone pointing a finger at a "sinner" and judging them based on their lifestyle without having (walked in their shoes. Christians and nonChristians alike have to watch how they point their fingers--God is the only one who can see a person's heart, and He knows why certain people live or behave the way they do... Most people are turned off by Christians who appear passionate about their faith. They don't understand because they have never experienced what it means to be totally (set free) from something that has had them bound, or that has been hurting or tormenting them. Same with nonChristians, some Christians (keyword: some) look at them and judge them so wrongly, and yet they (Christians) have never walked in the nonChristians shoes--but, come to think of it, many Christians HAVE walked in those shoes, but they later became saved. I can certainly say that I'...
