Lately I've been reading: Jennifer Government: A book very much in the style of Cryptonomicon. The future is entirely corporatized, so much that you take the last name of your employer. It's pretty good.

About me: Born in Santiago Chile, I came to the United States as a baby escaping political persecution with my family. I now make a name for myself as a freelance [insert profession here] in order to pay the bills.

Lennon did it. Ditto Sinatra, Pink Floyd, Lee Hazelwood and Sir Elton. Pseudosix, a mainstay of the fertile Portland, Oregon indie rock scene, follows suite as they kick off their sophomore disc with (gasp) a ballad!

Comment on I Did The Impossible! So there
Posted on September 12, 2007
I love this. As a child I had a lot of difficulties in school. Teachers seemed confusing and I really didn't understand what they were going on about. One day in the 2nd grade my teacher was introducing the idea of states of matter, so she asked one of us to name a state of matter. I immediately raised my had and when called upon exclaimed, "Plasma!" (which is correct). I was reprimanded and told I was stupid. I was forced to take an IQ test to see if I was mentally retarded. When I scored in the top 2% of children statewide up to age 14 I realized I wasn't the stupid one.
