Comment on The Hopelessness and irrelevance of Modern Atheism
Posted on April 23, 2008
You seem to speak of socialist and communist atheists. I am a capitalist and atheist. I believe that human nature cannot be changed to suit political/economic theory, the theory must work with human nature as it exists. I still think everyone can win in such a society. Look at an exchange at any ol' store. If you buy a loaf of bread, you believe that bread is worth more than your money, and the store owner thinks your money is worth more than the bread. Both both parties walk away happy. Both win. That can be translated onto a larger scale. The biggest mistake people make is that there is a fixed pie. Not true, wealth is CREATED when the exchange is voluntary. Thats where socialists and communists get it wrong, they don't like voluntary exchange, they like regulation. Personally I believe they are not even atheists. They have exchanged the traditional god and worship government and society.
Comment on Atheism and Absolutes

I looked at your other documents, I don't think it is a joke. Try reading "The God Delusion", it adresses a lot of this. Or read some Objectivism. It solves your problem of absolutes. eg: Because I AM, I AM something.

Indeed, life is about being happy, but not in a moronic nihilistic sense were you go out do drugs, have sex and get AIDS. That is irrational. You have to live your rationally if you intend to be happy and live long. Otherwise you end up hurting people and it comes back to you, and your short term gain is negated by loss later on.

Comment on Ron Paul: The Pot Candidate
Posted on November 28, 2007
So.... Pot still doesn't kill you. It doesn't matter why. EVEN if it did kill you, so what? People have the right to kill themselves, at least they do if we live in the free country so many people claim we do. If we can't, then we live in a statist country, where we can't even make the most important decision about our own self... Living or Dying. Think about it. If I must live on your terms I think I would rather die on mine.
