Thank you Yoda2 :) I do not work for the firm that is depicted in that story anymore, neither does my former boss who the character of Santosh Anand is based on. My former boss is still one of my friends today. The place I work for now, is both more efficient and actually worse in terms of corporate culture. Basically that IT Group is run in a top down fashion. Not much room for change. I am patient but not that patient.

:) Yes. What is interesting to notice is that the situation in this particular organization does improve significantly ! I think worse is when there is no improvement and no hope for improvement. That pretty much depends on who is leading the organization. I the leader is absolute dictator... better find a job somewhere else.
