Speier’s Philippine disaster resolution
set for Wednesday vote


WASHINGTON - House Res. 800 - Expressing sympathy for the citizens of the Philippines dealing with Tropical Storm Ketsana and Typhoon Parma - is scheduled for a vote on Wednesday, October 14 at 11:00 am (Pacific). The bill was introduced by Congresswoman Jackie Speier (San Francisco/San Mateo County). Debate will be carried live on C-SPAN.
It is expected that resolutions expressing support for victims of recent natural disasters in Indonesia and Samoa will be taken up at the same time. Rep. Speier is listed as a co-author on both of those resolutions.
