Conference Purpose

Keynote Address
 Engaging Students Through Project Based Learning
 
Professor Elsa Garmire served as thedean of Dartmouth College’s ThayerSchool of Engineering from 1995 to1997 and she is currently the college’s Sydney E. Junkins1887 Professor of Engineering. In relation to her address,Professor Garmire has worked with the InternationalTechnology Education Association to develop standards forK-12 engineering & technology literacy instruction. One of her current areas of interest is engaging female students inengineering through project-based instruction. During thisaddress, she will speak to the importance of teachingengineering in K-12 education and the power of project-based technology learning experiences to increase studentlearning.
