The Dramatics Society of Bala Vidya Mandir SeniorSecondary School, Gandhi Nagar, presented the 4th annualproduction on Saturday, the March 7, 2009 at the VidyapeetAuditorium, which is a part of the school premises.This year, two short but wonderful plays were staged by morethan 50 students in their own creative contributions – the Wizardof Oz and the Wise Men of Schilda directed by the well-knowntheatre personality Krishnakumar (popularly called KK), of Masquerade.

On the occasion of the International Yearof Astronomy and National Science Day theP.S.Senior Secondary School organisedscience project day on Feb. 27.The function was held at the Seminar Hallof the School.The students were found busy preparingprojects for the whole month of Febraury.Finally the D-day arrived when studentsof classes 6, 7 and 8 put forth projects ontopic titled ' Exploring Space -- ExpandingFuture'.The project was inaugurated by R. V.Perumal, associate director, Vikram SarabhaiSpace Researach Centre (VSSC)Thiruvananthapuram who also headed theGeo Synchronous Launch Vehicle, ISROearlier.An eminent and popular aeronauticscientist, R. V. Perumal has pioneered variousspace programmes and is a recipient of thePadma Bhushan award in 2002 for hisoutstanding contribution in the field of spaceresearch for flight integration and launchoperations.He interacted with the students and madea power point presentation about spaceresearch and the technical improvementsmade in space after a decade.The students came up with interestingprojects regarding space science anddispalyed many attractive models and charts.Students of class 8 spoke on the importanceof the Science day and one of the studentspresented a brief history of C.V.Raman.Read the full story onwww.yocee.in/schoolbuzz.php
