Introduction
Welcome to Flash 101, a comprehensive guide to the basics of Flash.In this section you will learn how to navigate throughout the program andunderstand it's elements. I have designed this guide to be a “no nonsense”guide to Flash. I have been working with Flash for years and discovered thatmost of the documentation offered online is full of holes, hard to understand or assumes that you understand everything about the program itself. I have takenout all of the jargon that you don't need and put together a guide that will getyou right into the meat of Flash, then have you creating and programming in notime. Another goal for this guide is to give you the correct knowledge to beable to research and find other answers for yourself. This lesson is to give youa basic understanding of Flash so that you will know what is where in the program and what each element basically does.
Who Is This For?
This guide is for everyone! I will basically assume you know nothingabout Flash, graphics editing or programming. The hope is that someone withno knowledge or skill can obtain everything that they need here. Having saidthat, let's jump right in!
Flash Version
I am using Flash 8 Pro for Windows for this tutorial. Although rightnow Flash CS3 is the most recent version, you will find that this tutorial willwork just fine for CS3 users. The changes from Flash 8 to CS3 did not effectanything included in this lesson.Page 3
