Directions:
This worksheet may beused by an individual or a group to pri-oritize three or more items. It helps iden-tify preferences, from the kinds of piepeople like to the stories that will befeatured on Page 1 of the newspaper orpossible yearbook themes. As a generalrule, there will be three clusters at theend of the process: 20% will clearly be atthe top, 60% will be spread across themiddle, and 20% will clearly be at the bottom.
For individuals:
Clearly letter eachitem. Then compare the two items in

each set, circling the preferred item. Work-ing from the left beginning with A, com-pare A to every other item in the group (Ato B, A to C, etc.). Then compare B to everyother letter, and so on. If you have less than16 items, you won’t be using the wholeworksheet. When you are done, count howmany times you have circled each letter onthe worksheet. Write the answer in the boxnext to that letter.
For groups:
Take the totals for eachnumber from the individual score sheetsand add them together. Compare the grouptotals for each number to determine thegroup’s priorities.
