Would you be prepared to sacrifice the comforts of your life? They wandered in the deserts, mountains and the dens and caves of the earth. If we are going to see Jesus coming, we will be doing that very thing. Is there comfort and hope for us at the very tail end of all these people?

In my generation gay people weren’t termed gay, they were homosexual full stop but as time went on they are regarded as having rights. Now how far has it gone? They are passing laws to say marriage of men with men and women with women is acceptable.

Nature has been groaning ever since sin arrived, but as it goes on, it starts groaning more and more heavily. As the nations are more angry nature is responding as well. But in the specific details since 1948 we want to see whether we can watch and recognise them instead of people saying we have to start preventing these terrible global warming results. They are trying to stop them instead of saying hey, this world is going to be destroyed and we can’t do anything about it, nature is telling me. To help recognise the imminent eruption, the signs of a volcano about to erupt, they are very smart about that, they can detect it with their seismological instruments but they can’t detect the coming of Jesus, strange that. Enlarge with me the nature of the eruption so you can tell the warning signs of the eruption.

I wonder what the angels think when we dangle gold from our ears; they must think “Why are these people hanging road base from their ears?” It is the basis of heaven and we dangle it everywhere. This is not the glory of heaven; the glory of heaven is God Himself. Let us not get caught up with gold things and jewellery; let us give that up. When Jacob came to the place where he wrestled with the angel and had his Jacob's trouble experience, he built an altar. He said to his family to take the idols from among them, take off the earrings and the necklaces and jewellery and put it away. They hid it and never found it again. If we want to go into heaven, we don't want to be having all our road-base hanging off us and God to say “What are you doing?” We know that the road is made out of gold, we well be walking on it, so we can give up gold here. The purity of gold here is rubbish compared to what heaven has. Let us not get caught up in the price of road-base.

The record in Heaven is very accurate. It is more accurate than you realise. All this is before God with whom we have to do. That sounds like the judge. Do you know why; because He is the Judge. We are in a court of law. The judge has an open book in which is recorded not just your actions and words but the thoughts and intents of your heart as well. This book needs cleansing; the names need to be sorted through, who really belongs in this book and who is pretending. In the book of Daniel we are told at a certain time the Judge sat down to review these books.

As God reveals to us the things that mar our life, how are we going to succeed in giving God the glory? By confessing, yes Lord, that’s it. I didn’t only make a mistake here, I sinned; I am a (whatever the sin is). I’m an unsavoury character, I’m completely sinful. Lord, I confess it to you and I thank you that You have dealt with this in Jesus Christ.

Do you know the fastest reflex on your body? Blinking is the fastest reflex you have. When something comes toward your eye, you shut it. This is an illustration of how surely God will protect his faithful ones who respond to His call to come out of the world and make a covenant relationship with Him. Be assured that God will protect His people like His sown eyeball. It will be God’s fastest reflex. The Bible says that He will avenge speedily; it’s a fast thing. When someone dies the body’s last response is blinking. It is the most important thing in this object lesson of the apple of the eye, that even at the expense of God’s life He will still protect His people. God knows how to protect His own. Why are men who follow God afflicted? If God is so protective of His people why does affliction come to them?
