Scribd can distribute free material across the internet if you have a bulky document you want to share. They also have a marketplace where you can sell novels andshort stories. Some mid-list authors publish short stories or novella companions to their series for a small price.

Drollerie Press

Iincluded Drollerie because Catherine Schaff-Stump has a short story in one of their compilationsand I figure if Catherine has worked with them, they’re legit. Many small online houses have popped up over the last few years, but many of them have been unstable. Now that thetechnology is more standardized, a few are starting to make it work. Some of these presses alsoaccept the “unsalable” novella.
