Talking About Local Community Websites.
Posted onDecember 12, 2009by rayduff
THE HEDON BLOG is proud to be a part of a ‘family’ of community websites that arechallenging and re-shaping traditional media in the UK. In this presentation, William Perrin, the founder – perhaps the father! – of TalkAbout Localexplains about the continuing development of this ‘hyperlocal’ family. The introduction refers to the video sponsors before William begins his talk. Thevideo lasts 11 minutes.
more about “untitled“, posted withvodpod
The kind of community websites described by William
are easy
to create. Only afew short years ago then starting a website was a ‘technical’ task best left to theprofessionals and the geeks – but now anyone with a bit of internet experienceand able to use Word or Works can publish to the web
easily!
If you would like to help out and become another Hedon Blogger – then get in touch!

The youth assembly received more than 700 applications for the passes since thescheme began in August, showing massive demand for cheaper transport for young people.  Young people who think they could benefit from a free bus pass should contactRichard Moulson, Senior Youth Worker atrichard.moulson@eastriding.gov.ukfor more information.
