Eligibility

. The Theater Educator Award can only be nominated by High School andUniversity students who are residents of Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio at the time of entryand have a valid email address. Employees of Gannett Satellite Information Network, Inc.d/b/a The Enquirer, Gannett Co., Inc., and each of their respective affiliatedcompanies, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies, and other agents, and theimmediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with such employees, are noteligible to enter or to win.

Entry

. Nominations will begin at 12:01am (E.S.T.) on February 9, 2009 and all entriesmust be received by 11:59pm (E.S.T.) on April 3, 2009 (the “COMPETITION Period”).

Submit your nomination by clicking on the “signup” button. Written nominationsmust be 500 words or less. Video nominations must be three minutes or less. Note supportmaterials on the nomination form. transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation,malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with send orSponsor. In the event of a dispute, all online entries will be deemed to have beensubmitted by the owner of the ISP account from which they were sent. For thesepurposes, an ISP account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such ISPaccount by the Internet access provider, online service provider or other organizationresponsible for assigning ISP addresses for the domain associated with such ISP account.All entries become property of Sponsor and none will be returned. Any questions regardingthe number of entries submitted or the owner of an ISP account shall be determined bySponsor in its sole discretion, and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries bypersons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest. Sponsorreserves the right to edit any entries if necessary.

Prizes and Odds

. One winner will be selected by a panel of judges based on theiressay/video from among all eligible entries. Winner(s) will receive a $2,500.00 donationto their school’s theater department.

Winner Notification and Acceptance

. Finalists will be notified by phone or email on orabout April 28, 2009 at the phone number or email address provided on winner’s entryform. Winner will be announced on May 18, 2009 at the Enquirer Acclaim Awards at theAronoff Center’s Jarson-Kaplan Theater. Return of prize notification as undeliverable mayresult in disqualification and an alterative winner may be selected. Winners may waivetheir right to receive prizes. Prizes are non-assignable and nontransferable. Nosubstitutions allowed, except that prizes and individual components of prize packagesare subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal orgreater value. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes onprizes. Winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, and a liability andpublicity release (except where prohibited by law) which must be returned within ten(10) days of date of postmark. Failure to sign and return the affidavit or release withinten (10) days, or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, may resultin a winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and theaward of the prize to a substitute winner. Except where prohibited, participation in theCOMPETITION constitutes entrant’s consent to the publication of his or her name,biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotionalpurpose, without limitation or further compensation. Prizes not won and claimed byeligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and willremain the property of Sponsor. For prize winners list (available after May 21, 2009, senda self-addressed, stamped envelope to The Enquirer, c/o Market development, “TheatreEducator Award” Winner List, P.O. Box 5776, Cincinnati, OH 45202-5776.

Participation

. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules andthe decisions of the judging panel. Judges reserves the right to disqualify persons foundtampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Award nomination as solelydetermined by Sponsor. In the event the competition is compromised by a virus, non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable controlof judges, which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or properoperation of the competition, the judging panel reserves the right in its sole discretion tosuspend, modify or terminate the competition. Should the competition be terminatedprior to the stated expiration date, judges reserves the right to award prizes based onthe entries received before the termination date.
