 The subject of breech presentation especiallythe aspect of breech deliveries has alwaysevoked intense interest among obstetricians.

 The term breech was derived from the word‘Britches’ which is a cloth used to cover theloins and thighs.

Breech presentation therefore occurs whenthe fetal pelvis or lower extremities present inthe maternal pelvis.
