The Community House is
the only
nonprofit organization thatdelivers both
quality recreation and affordable social services
that are
deeply rooted
in the community, making a
difference in the lives of thousands
of families and individuals.
Quality recreation programs -
The Community House offersprograms and services in art, theater, athletics, fitness and groupoutings for children, adults, and seniors. These programs giveparticipants an opportunity to meet others with similarinterests and build friendships for social and physical well-being.
Affordable social services -
The Community House is vital to the WesternSuburbs as an affordable option for social services. Individuals andfamilies use The Community House to meet with qualified, trainedprofessionals in counseling and therapy. The organization also offersprograms for low-income families in the area with the Willowbrook Corner Initiative, which provides equal opportunities in recreation andlearning for disadvantaged groups in order to promote self-sufficiency
.
Deeply rooted in local community -
For almost 70 years, The CommunityHouse has been the source for recreation and social programs in Hinsdaleand the surrounding suburbs. Generations of families have turned toThe Community House as a place to hold community events, fundraisers,theater events, and to meet and socialize.The Community House serves a
broad range of residents
fromBurr Ridge, Clarendon Hills, Darien, Downers Grove, Hinsdale,Oak Brook, Westmont, and Willowbrook. The Community House is a501(c)(3) organization that delivers these programs thanks to grants,membership fees and the generosity of donors from local communities.
Not one penny of tax-based funding goes towardThe Community House.
Visitors to The Community House keep coming back for new learningexperiences, counseling support, recreation and volunteeropportunities. Ultimately, The Community House
enriches the quality of life for people of all ages.Our Mission:
