Partners with Locket 2 You
After a short hiatus and the editing of Act One, The Miracle in July has returned with ActTwo. Our long-distance lovers are finally within reach of one another - but things maynot fall so perfectly into place. To coincide with the launch of Act Two, author MichelleAnderson has partnered with Portland, OR locket company Locket 2 You (L2Y), ahusband-and-wife team creating hand-made jewelry out of their home studio.Told in several segments in three Acts, and bookended by a Prologue and Epilogue, TheMiracle in July [http://www.themiracleinjuly.com/story] is based on the true story of theauthor. Its purpose is to prove to authors everywhere that there are alternative ways toshare stories and reach a worldwide audience using free or low-cost applications andsocial web-generated content. With sound, words, images and hyperlinks, this digitalstory is an experiment in interactive sculpting, using tools available to anyone with aconnection to the Internet. Videos, images and music created specifically for this storyare embedded in the text to help submerge the reader into the experience of falling inlove online. The Miracle in July has been released in weekly segments every Mondaysince July 6, 2009.Locket 2 You has taken the beloved image created by David Cox for The Miracle in July,and turned it into a beautiful brass locket, hung with silky, black ribbon - keeping withThe MIJ's romantic feel.
