Troy Otus has maintained involvement in a vast array of educational, professional, and personal endeavors. After graduating in 1987 from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, with a B.A. in Political Science, T. Troy Otus relocated to Malibu, California to pursue advanced studies at the Pepperdine University School of Law. During this time, T. Troy Otus gained an intimate familiarity with California state and federal law, receiving his J.D. from Pepperdine University three years later. Passing the California State Bar Exam in 1990, T. Troy Otus later gained admission to the District of Columbia Bar Association and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California.
In his first professional role after graduating from law school, T. Troy Otus worked as an Associate for an insurance defense firm, followed by a period as an Associate with a plaintiff’s injury law firm. It was at the latter firm that T. Troy Otus discovered his forte, and he has served as a personal injury attorney ever since. T. Troy Otus went on to found the Otus Law Group in 1995, where he continues to provide exceptional representation to injured plaintiffs to this day as its Managing Partner. Now consisting of five office locations throughout Northern California, the Otus Law Group enjoys an extensive presence throughout the region, a testament to the performance and reputation of T. Troy Otus and his colleagues. In addition, T. Troy Otus frequently enriches his understanding of personal injury, wrongful death, malpractice, workers’ compensation, insurance, product liability, and other areas of law through his involvement in continuing legal education (CLE) classes. In his free time, T. Troy Otus enjoys all manner of recreational activities from golf and hiking to tennis and swimming. T. Troy Otus resides in Northern California with his wife and three children.view less
