Enable us in our sufferings and tribulations to bestrengthened and comforted by his sufferings and cross. The Fourth Petition of The Lord’s Prayer:Give us today our daily bread.

What is this?

In fact, God gives daily bread without our prayer, even to allevil people, but we ask in this prayer that God cause us to recognizewhat our daily bread is and to receive it with thanksgiving.

How does this come about?

Everything our bodies need such as food, drink, clothing,shoes, house, home, fields, livestock, money, property, an uprightspouse, upright children, upright workers, upright and faithful rulers,good government, good weather, peace, health, decency, honor, goodfriends, faithful neighbors, and the like.
