Thanks a lot for the comment! In response to your technical note, I know exactly what you mean. The narration is going to be third person limited, though, so the way I write for Esperer's essays is going to be a little different from the way I write the actual story, which should at least limit that obstacle a bit.

As for what happens next, this is sort of going to act as a prologue- it'll lead into the first chapter, which I plan to start with the introduction of the character that is Donatien by having him meet the other character, Faible Fournier, at Faible's bakery. When I get that written I plan to post it, so.
