Step One:
Happiness is a choice you make every step of theway. So choose to be happy from the moment you wake andthen keep choosing happiness moment by moment throughout < br />your day.
Step Two:
Be present in the moment because this is wherehappiness is found. It is not in the past and it is not inthe future. It is in the now.
Step Three:
You can only have one thought at a time so payattention to whenever you catch yourself having negativethoughts. In addition, you can also greatly reduce negativethinking by eliminating media exposure in your home.
Step Four:
Follow you bliss by getting crystal clear onwhat you want, keeping your eye on where you’re going, and being grateful for the journey.
Step Five:
Overcome your fears by remembering they are allin your head, take action to keep moving yourself forward,and put high energy into every thing that you do.
Step Six:
Manage your self talk and image with positiveaffirmations, correct your words at every opportunity, and practice the language of success.
Step Seven:
Choose to have fun by treating life as anadventure and enjoying the ride.These 7 Steps can be easily incorporated into anyone’slifestyle and with regular practice, you will be on your way to a happier, better life.Remember, happiness isn’t some far off destination. Step One: Happiness is a choice
 As I mentioned yesterday, I decided to write about how Idiscovered happiness with the hope it helps those of you whoare like me and just aren't sure how to go about it.A couple of years ago now, my husband Warren coached meabout happiness. This was rather ironic because up untilearlier that year he was not considered to be a happy person.So if we can both learn from this then so can you.Are you ready?Life is all about choices.This is something I did not know.What I mean by that statement is that I did not realize Iwas where I was because of my own decisions (or lack of them).I simply believed I was where I was because of my parents, because of my schoo ling, because of the government - I blamed everyone else but never my own decisions. I nowwonder how many of you are stuck because you do not realizethis as well.I thought that because of where my parents lived, that iswhy I live where I live. Imagine how I felt when I realizedthat what I did for a living and where I lived were mychoices and not my mom's.I was always blaming others for my life, but all along itwas me who was making the choices or, more precisely, lack of them. And where I found myself was the result of thosechoices and/or lack of choices. Now you might think I felt bad when I discovered this truth, but in fact I felt the very opposite.I felt much better when I realized that I don't have to blame anyone for what I have or don't have. I am totallyfree now of that emotion. I am happy that I decided whereto live and what to do, each and every single day.
 
And since I have control over the choices I make, if I don'tlike the results I'm getting then I can take that as my cueto focus on making better choices.Another thing, every month I was on an emotional roller coaster ride and thought that my hormones controlled howhappy I was.Then one day I realized that, boy, I don't have to live likethat. Instead, I can be happy period, pardon the pun.I mean, if you suddenly had the best day of your life andyou were feeling bloated because of your period, would youcare? Of course not; you wouldn't let it ruin your day!So why do you?Why did I let it? Because I did not know that I had thechoice, that's why. No one ever told me that every moment of my day I havechoices.I can choose to be happy. I can choose to do something or Ican choose not to. I am in control of this life. I amhappy to be just alive.There is no guarantee that I will wake up tomorrow in my own bed alive. There isn't.I could die before tomorrow, so I better damn well have funtoday! So now when I wake up every day I make a deliberatechoice. I choose to be happy. No one else can make me happy. It is simply a choice - mychoice. And for you, it is simply your choice.That is what I did not know. That is what, perhaps, you didnot know.But now you do. Now that you know you are REACTING to every situation, youcan pay close attention to how you are reacting and realizethey are simply choices. You can choose to be happynonetheless.
